Diary of a Traveling Girl

Not one for routine, get bored very easily and thrive on change and newness. And when the travel bug bites, it’s hard to shake it off. So when I received invites to events in LONDON around London Fashion Week and London Design Festival it was the opportunity to pack my bags and head off. This was a very spontaneous trip – the Best kind. I didn’t have a long time to plan, so I wasn’t sure if I’ll make it. 1. Had to get an emergency VISA. Growing up I always wanted to be a writer, a traveling scholar. I wanted to be great and don’t think I’m there yet. Feels...

There was an exciting pulse, as the different events unfolded over the Festival. London lived up to the claim “Design is Everywhere”. On the calendar of events, there were about 200+ big and small that had been especially created or incorporated into this massive week-long Festival. The V&A Museum was the place to be as most of the interesting design concepts were situated here. The major highlights: 1. The Crest: Designed by Architect Zaha Hadid. “We envisioned creating a piece that would emerge from the pool which is the centerpiece of the space, both visually and in terms of social interaction” 2. Textile Field: by Design brothers Ronan and...
